Inclusiv, MemberClose Partnering on Program to Boost Home Ownership Among Hispanic Community

NEW YORK – The Inclusiv Network, which represents CDFI certified, and minority designated credit unions, said it is partnering with MemberClose to promote financial inclusion and homeownership opportunities for credit unions and their members, with a special focus on the Hispanic community.

MemberClose is a CUSO formed by the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) and Pivot Lending Group.

Through this partnership, Inclusiv said it will work with MemberClose to raise awareness among the credit unions about the opportunity and imperative that serving the Hispanic community represents for the industry’s future and relevance.

“The initiative seeks to empower credit unions with the tools to better meet the borrowing needs of Hispanics members and make homeownership available to everyone,” Inclusiv said.

In addition, Inclusiv said MemberClose will also become a principal partner for its Juntos Avanzamos program, a financial inclusion framework for credit unions serving the Hispanic, immigrant, and refugee communities. The program designates credit unions that provide critical access to responsible, affordable and sustainable financial products and services through a network of over 935 community branches serving more than 9.7 million consumers in 28 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, according to Inclusiv.

‘Additional Tools’

“We are proud to partner with MemberClose to expand access to homeownership opportunities for Hispanic and immigrant communities nationwide,” said Pablo DeFilippi, EVP with Inclusiv. “This partnership will allow us to provide credit unions with additional tools and resources to expand financial inclusion and help make the dream of homeownership a reality. We are grateful to MemberClose for supporting the Juntos Avanzamos initiative and partnering with Inclusiv to promote affordable and relevant financial services for all.”
