CHICAGO — In a sign of the growing presence of financial technology companies, Alliant Credit Union has announced a new hire with job responsibilities not often seen in credit unions.
Alliant has named Robert Perrelli as its new vice president of partnership development, where the credit union said he will be “responsible for sourcing, developing and incubating fintech partnerships across diverse loan categories.”
Perrelli will report to Charles Krawitz, SVP-chief capital markets officer and head of commercial lending.
The credit union reported Perrelli brings more than 15 years of experience building and managing products and partnerships, most recently serving as senior vice president and group director of Huntington National Bank’s vehicle finance division. Prior to Huntington, Perrelli was senior vice president at TCF Financial Corporation, where he spent over a decade of his career both on the Commercial Inventory Finance and Consumer Lending divisions.
“I am honored to join a team of tremendous leaders at Alliant forging the path of opportunity and innovation for credit unions,” said Perrelli. “Alliant is a pioneering credit union and I look forward to serving our members’ financial needs by developing and strengthening long-term fintech partnerships.”
Added Krawitz, “Rob is a key leader in Alliant’s efforts to create significant value for our members through fintech partnerships. His market insight, technical competence, leadership and spirit of collaboration are unmatched. We are thrilled to have him on board.”
The $15-billion Alliant CU has more than 600,000 members.
