WYOMISSING, Penn.–Two credit unions have named new CEOs.
The $1.2-billion Utilities Employees Credit Union here has named Bret H. Krevolin to lead the organization.
Krevolin previously served as vice president and CFO, and succeeds Patricia A. Zyma, who retired after more than 20 years of service to the credit union.
Krevolin has more than 30 years’ experience in financial and executive leadership to his new position. Prior to joining UECU, he served as an executive leader for a $900-million community bank, progressing from vice president/controller to executive vice president/CFO.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead our remarkable organization into the future,” stated Krevolin. “One of our strengths is our team, and I look forward to working closely with UECU’s board of directors and our talented staff to continue to enrich the financial lives of our members. I will work tirelessly with our staff to enhance our product and service offerings and our members’ experience.”
Separately, Honolulu–based University of Hawai`i Federal Credit Union has named Travis Bow as president/CEO of the $618-million credit union, which serves 30,000 members. Bow’s appointment follows the retirement of former president and CEO Jeanine Morse, who served in the role for nine years.
Previously, Bow served as the vice president of member support and oversaw multiple areas of the credit union, including the IT department and the credit union’s branches.
“The board of directors is fully confident that Travis will be a strong president and CEO with a continued commitment to member service, planned growth and staff development,” said Board Chair Edward Yuen. “The board has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to observe Travis’ exceptional communication skills and management capabilities, as well as to have worked with him in strategic planning and at monthly meetings. Throughout his career with UHFCU, Travis has been steadfast in providing exceptional member service, striving for operational efficiency, and embracing the credit union philosophy of people helping people.”
“I am excited and honored to be chosen to lead our remarkable organization into the future,” said Bow. “I joined the credit union 17 years ago because I wanted to be a part of an organization committed to the community and members it serves. During my time at the credit union, I’ve not only gained tremendous knowledge and appreciation of where we’ve been, but more importantly of where we need to go. Working with Jeanine has thoroughly prepared me, and I am thankful for her strong leadership and mentorship. I have a passion for the credit union industry and specifically UHFCU. With the help of a very talented team, we will continue to provide exceptional service to our members and carry on as Hawai`i’s leading credit union.”
