Meanwhile, in Scottsbluff, Neb., a federal grand jury has indicted Christine Darley on six counts of bank fraud, according to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Nebraska

The U.S. Attorney said Darley, 44, was responsible for losses of more than $200,000 while she was manager of the Panhandle Co-op Federal Credit Union.

The indictment alleges that Darley began taking funds in August 2010, and continued to do so through June 2012. The charging document contends Darley started with a $150,000 withdrawal in August 2010, followed by an improper $180,000 loan to herself in December.

Additional alleged improper loan advances totaling nearly $106,000 took place from June 2011 through February 2012. The Grand Jury indictment further says Darley falsified credit union records to cover up the money transfers.

If convicted, Darley faces as sentence of up to 30 years imprisonment, a $1,000,000 fine, and a five-year term of supervised release.
