FITCHBURG, Mass.–IC Federal Credit Union has named a new president and CEO. The $557-million IC FCU has named Chris Hendry to lead the organization.
Hendry had previously served as senior director of external affairs for UMass Memorial Health Alliance-Clinton Hospital, where he provided strategic direction for the marketing, communication, philanthropic and community-benefits programs, the credit union said.
Hendry has also been serving on ICFCU’s board of directors.
“I am excited to be working at this fantastic organization and honored that I have been chosen for this role,” said Hendry. “I am looking forward to working with the senior leadership team and the entire staff in advancing our mission to our membership and our community.”
Added Board Chair Norman Gariepy, “As a Member of IC’s board of directors and supervisory committee since 2014, Chris has a solid understanding of all facets of the Credit Union’s operations, and has leadership skills that will allow us to successfully implement our strategies and take advantage of future opportunities.”
The credit union said Hendry has been active in the community, serving on the boards of many local organizations, including NewVue Communities, the Arc of Opportunity and the Fitchburg Art Museum.
The credit union has approximately 33,625 members.
