IC CU Launches Local Tie-In to National Education Week

FITCHBURG, Mass.– In conjunction with National Education Week, IC Credit Union is launching a special education-based promotion for one year for all new and existing account holders.

According to the credit union, account holders will be automatically entered into a bi-weekly drawing where two winners per week, per promotion, will be chosen at random. The first promotion will focus on Mass Education schools or programs, with a $250 donation to be chosen by the winners of the Intelligent Checking group, (who will also receive $25), and each student winner will receive $100 to use as they choose.

“This will amount to a total of $26,000 or 104 winners, in support of area schools and programs,” said Carolyn Perla, AVP of retail, “and 104 winners or a total of $10,400 to IC students.”

CEO Tony Emerson added, “This is just another way we can show our support for education. We sincerely hope this program helps ease the pain of budget cuts that hit our most vulnerable--our students and their education. With the ability to choose, IC Members can feel proud that their financial institution is doing their part to support Mass Educational programs and schools and the children that attend.”

The promotion will apply to student member account holders as young as six years old and IC Intelligent Checking Account Members.
