IAM What IAM, But Not Anymore; New Name Announced

ENTERPRISE, Ala.–IAM Community FCU here has announced a name change. The $33-million CU said effective June 3 it is changing its name to Solutions First Credit Union.

“Over the past several years we have strived to introduce new products and services that would ensure we were competitive within the market,” the credit union said in a statement to members on its website. “These positive changes are impacting our growth and profitability….As part of our plans for the future, we are embarking on a new endeavor. We are rebranding to further signify our desire to prove our worth to our membership.”

Founded to serve a labor union, AIM Community said it will also be introducing a “special designation” for those members who have been part of its core membership drawn from the IAM&AW Union. “Union members will be designated as Founder’s Club members, which will enable you to have certain ‘opportunities’,” CEO Frank Garrett said in a statement.

The credit union has 3,900 members.
