TYSONS, Va.—To support those impacted by Hurricane Harvey, PenFed Credit Union Monday announced a donation of $50,000 to the American Red Cross Corpus Christi and Houston Chapters.
American Red Cross, its employees, retirees and volunteers are among PenFed’s field of membership.
“Our thoughts are with our Members and the communities in Texas that are affected by this devastating storm,” said PenFed President and CEO James Schenck. “For 82 years, we have stood by our members through good times and bad times. We will continue to stand by them – and our employees – during this crisis.”
PenFed serves more than 130,000 members in Texas and is reaching out to all members in the impacted areas to provide information they may need to receive emergency relief loans and ensure they receive the support they need following the storm, the CU stated.
