PLANO, Texas–The Cornerstone Credit Union League says all credit unions in the areas affected by Hurricane Harvey are being assessed and monitored by its Disaster Response Team in order to “be as responsive as possible in providing assistance wherever needed.”
"Credit unions are known for their community outreach, and this storm has brought out the best in us," said President/CEO Caroline Willard. "We are seeing a generous outpouring of support from credit unions across the region and around the country, and we are updating our list of available resources all the time."
The Cornerstone league has released a video featuring Willard discussing the league’s emergency response.
Grants are available for credit union employees and board members to assist with immediate disaster relief needs, such as out-of-pocket costs that may result from being evacuated. Just complete the Disaster Emergency Relief Grant Application.
