ONTARIO, Calif.–Humanidei, the talent recruiting firm formed by Jill Nowacki, former president of the Connecticut CU League, and Diana Dykstra, president of the California and Nevada leagues, has acquired the executive recruiting firm O’Rourke & Associates.
As CUToday.info reported here, Humanidei was formed in July of 2019 and also offers executive coaching, human capital solutions, and training in diversity, equity and inclusion.
“Credit unions have everything they need to win the war for talent, but they still struggle to attract and retain a diverse pool of the best and brightest candidates,” said Nowacki, who is president and CEO of Humanidei, in a statement. “Bringing O’Rourke & Associates and Humanidei together provides our clients with the best of both worlds in executive recruiting: rich experience paired with new approaches to attract a broader cross-section of talent.”
The company said Lisa Burroughs has been appointed to serve as executive director of Humanidei’s recruiting practice. Burroughs has been with San Francisco-based O’Rourke & Associates since 2017, most recently serving as director of executive search and strategy.

In announcing the acquisition, Humanidei said credit unions need to face the “reality” that over the next decade it is expected up to 50% of current CEOs will retire.
