WASHINGTON – Howard University Employees Federal Credit Union, which has been serving faculty and staff since 1935, said it has now expanded its field of membership to serve students, as well.
The credit union which is located on Howard University’s main campus in the C B Powell Building, said it offers affordable banking services including low-rate loans and free checking accounts with unique in-person and digital convenience for students.
The $13-million credit union is open to all current students, faculty and staff of Howard University, Howard University Hospital employees, and immediate family members, in addition to the students.
“For more than 70 years, the credit union has been committed to protecting the financial wellbeing of our member-owners,” said David Muse, CEO of HUEFCU. “We’re thrilled to have an opportunity to make an even bigger difference for the entire Howard University community by serving students.”
HUECU has approximately 1,154 members.
