How Member One Plans To Celebrate 100,000th Member

ROANOKE, Va.–Member One FCU here is preparing to welcome its 100,000th member, with plans to celebrate both the member and its membership base.

Member One, founded 76 years ago to serve Norfolk and Western Railroad employees, said it expects to reach the 100,000-member threshold in late September.

The credit union’s 100,000th member will receive their choice of a $100 VISA gift card or $100 deposit into their Member One account. Additionally, Member One will donate $100 to a non-profit of the member’s choosing.

The credit union will also be giving away four $25 VISA gift cards through social media promotions on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook in September. On the day the milestone is reached, members visiting the branches will receive 100 Grand candy bars.

“We couldn’t let the occasion go unmarked,” said Chief Retail Officer Paul Economy. “We want to celebrate with everyone in the communities we serve. After all, without them, we would not have experienced such success."

Member One currently has 12 full-service branches serving Southwest and Central Virginia, and will be opening its 13th branch in Forest, Va. in October.
