Horizon Community CU To Merge Into Fox CCU

APPLETON, Wis.–Two credit unions in Wisconsin have announced merger plans.

The $43-million Horizon Community CU said it has merged into the $1.2-billion Fox Communities Credit Union. HCCU’s two branches will join the 17 branches that are part of Fox Communities’ network.

“The reason Horizon approached Fox Communities was based on opportunities for both our members and the Horizon team,” said Pat Josephson, president of Horizon Community Credit Union. “All staff members of Horizon are remaining. Additional jobs may be created, in the future, due to expanded hours and opportunities.  The core values of each of the credit unions are very similar.  Having additional offices, products, and services for our membership was vital.  It is important that we continue to grow and stay competitive with the ever-changing needs of our members.”

Fox Communities Credit Union President Greg Hilbert added, “Both credit unions share a deep understanding of our commitment to members and the communities we serve.  This partnership shows how credit unions continue to work together to improve and expand product and service offerings for all members.  Staff and board members from both credit unions are very happy to complete this partnership.”

The joined credit unions will serve more than 87,000 members.
