JACKSON, Miss.–Hope Credit Union has released a new report detailing its work in helping to improve the lives of its own members as well as others living in an economically distressed region of the country.
The impact report, titled “Our Time is No: Changing Lives by Changing Systems,” report details projects, deals and partnerships that HOPE has led over the past year and shows how HOPE has been a thought leader in rural development and economic equity, the $453-million credit union said.
“For the past two years, the pandemic has shed light on critical gaps in our society and the insufficient recovery programs meant to address them,” the credit union stated in releasing the report. “People of color and in rural communities have faced significant hardships. Hope Credit Union (HOPE) has been at the forefront of efforts to increase opportunity for people in the Deep South and bring about policy and corporate changes that will have a far-reaching effect in dismantling the barriers that have held our communities back for far too long.”
Relationships Highlighted
Among other relationships, the report highlights one of its latest endeavors, a partnership with Top Chef competitor Nick Wallace.
“HOPE has progressed the conversation around the power of small businesses while investing in communities in the Deep South,” the credit union said, noting numerous other partnerships are also highlighted.
