BEDFORD, Ind.–Two credit unions have announced field of membership expansions.
At Hoosier Hills Credit Union here, it has expanded its FOM across the Ohio River and into Kentucky by adding five counties in the Bluegrass State, bringing the total number of counties served to 40. The newly added Kentucky counties include Breckinridge, Daviess, Hancock, Henderson and Meade.
"Anyone who lives, works, or has family members who live or work in these areas is eligible to join and do business with us," said Hoosier Hills President and CEO George McNichols in a statement. "We are excited to grow the Credit Union into these new areas, and to continue building strong relationships with members."
The expansion comes as Hoosier Hills Credit Union is marking its 50th anniversary. It has more than 29,000 members.
Expansion in Georgia
Separately, in Duluth, Ga., Georgia United Credit Union announced an expanded FOM to include nine Georgia counties: Cobb, Cherokee, Dawson, Gordon, Hall, Jackson, Madison, Newton and Oglethorpe. The expansion brings to 24 the credit union’s field of membership.
Georgia United also serves more than 200 select employee groups, the state agencies of Georgia, the employees and members of the Catholic community, Board of Regents colleges and universities, the faculty and staff of Georgia Institute of Technology and the faculty, staff, students and alumni of the University of Georgia.
