ALEXANDRIA, Va.–Democracy Federal Credit Union will soon be hiding 50 DFCU-branded wallets around Old Town Alexandria here, all of which contain a $1 bill.
Those who find the wallets are invited to bring them into the credit union’s new branch at 400 N. Columbus Street, where they can exchange the $1 for a $10 bill.
The wallets will be available for finding beginning on Friday, Oct. 6. Wallets can be turned in starting Oct. 7 during Democracy FCU’s Grand Opening Celebration for the new Alexandria Branch. The community is being invited to an event being held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot next to the branch, where there will be fun for all ages with activities including a bounce house, face painting, music, food, prizes, fun giveaways and more.
