BURNSVILLE, Minn.–As part of Firefly CU's free financial education program for employers, Learn@Work, the credit union recently hosted a midnight seminar at Mall of America.
The event was for Mall employees working the third shift, where they learned about credit scores through a series of interactive activities.
“At Firefly, we’re committed to educating our members and the community on financial and personal wellness topics,” said Reyna Staats, business development manager at Firefly Credit Union. "We want to make this education accessible for all employees, not just those who work a 9-to-5 schedule.”
In the spirit of the late hour of this seminar, Firefly said Financial Education Specialist Geoff Bullock presented in pajamas, and Mall employees in attendance were treated to a late night snack of IHOP and Caribou Coffee.
Firefly’s Learn@Work program is a 2016 National First-Place award recipient for credit union adult financial education. In addition to its credit scores seminar, Firefly offers seminars on dozens of other finance topics that area professionals are available to present to workplaces in the Twin Cities.
