In response to an inquiry from CUToday.info, the trade group said the move to new offices in a development called 99M should save approximately $6 million in lease expense over the next 10 years.

As CUToday.info reported here, n the Spring of 2018 CUNA will move to 99M, which is now under construction near Nationals Park in the Navy Yard area.

CUNA has signed a lease for approximately 22,000 square feet at 99 M St. SE, and has become the second office tenant to commit to Skanska USA Commercial Development’s Class A office building.

The 11-story building is seven blocks from the U.S. Capitol and will include approximately 220,000 square feet of office space, with approximately 11,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space on the ground floor. The building will also feature a green roof and rooftop terrace, a tenant-only, state-of-the-art fitness facility, secure bicycle storage and four levels of underground parking.

The area of D.C. is home to several big projects, including several mixed-use entertainment/office/residential buildings.
