WASHINGTON–There is a full slate of congressional hearings of interest to credit unions on tap this week on Capitol Hill.

Among the hearings both CUNA and NAFCU said they will be monitoring:

Today

  • Senate Committee on Banking, Housing & Urban Affairs: The CFPBs Semi-Annual Report to Congress

Wednesday

  • House Financial Services Committee: “Consumers First: Semi-Annual Report of the CFPB”

Thursday

  • House Financial Services Committee: Oversight of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN)
  • House Financial Services Committee: “What’s In Your Digital Wallet? A Review of Recent Trends in Mobile Banking and Payments”
  • Senate Committee on Appropriations: Fiscal Year 2023 Budget Request for the Department of Agriculture (of interest to CUs because it includes funding for USAID’s cooperative development program)
