Hearn Elected Chair Of CUES

DUBUQUE, Iowa—Joe Hearn, president and CEO of Dupaco Community Credit Union, has been elected chair of the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES) board of directors.

Saying it was founded on the principle of “cooperation among cooperatives,” CUES stated that it is dedicated to educating and developing credit union CEOs, directors and future leaders. The organization strives to help its members reach their full leadership potential—ultimately transforming the credit union industry.

The CUES board of directors plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization continues to operate in the best interest of its past, present and future members. Hearn’s appointment as board chairman was announced during the CEO/Executive Team Network in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Hearn holds the Certified Chief Executive designation from CUES. He graduated from the CUES CEO Institute conducted at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University; and The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
