WASHINGTON–Credit unions will be watching a couple of congressional hearings today and tomorrow.
This morning the House Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing today titled, “A Failure to Act: How a Decade without GSE Reform Has Once Again Put Taxpayers at Risk.”
The hearing is scheduled for this morning at 10 a.m. (ET), and will be streamed live on the committee’s website.
On Friday morning, the House Financial Services subcommittee on Terrorism and Illicit Finance will hold a hearing titled “Survey of Terrorist Groups and Their Means of Financing” that the trade groups will also be monitoring.
The trade groups are also watching ongoing discussions around funding the federal government. Funding is currently set to run out on Sept. 30.
