Hawaii State Opens Renovated Branch

AIEA, Hawaii–Hawaii State FCU has opened a new renovated branch here. The renovation was overseen by Chesterfield, Mo.-based NewGround.

The branch, the busiest in HSFCU’s network, now features state-of-the-art technology and personalized service options. According to NewGround, the 3,896 square foot branch was redesigned to provide a more personal alternative to the traditional teller line. The credit union implemented teller pods for improved interaction between staff and member and has adopted the Universal Banker concept, the company said. Other features of the branch include a 24/7 vestibule with member access to an enhanced ATM, digital focal wall, technology bar, improved privacy with the addition of offices designed with a glass wall system, and new LED lighting for improved energy efficiency.

NewGround said the remodel project was completed in two phases and involved coordinating construction activity while maintaining continuous operations for the members of the credit union.

“NewGround was honored that Hawaii State FCU looked to us as their partner on this intricate project,” said Kevin Blair, president and CEO of NewGround, “and this newly remodeled branch reflects their commitment to the community and their members.”
