Ashcraft graduated from Western Washington University with a B.A. in economics and a minor in business administration. He graduated with High Honors from Western CUNA Management School. Recently, he served on the HCUL and HCUS boards and as the HCUL Big Island Chapter president.

‘Knows the Challenges’

The league said Ashcraft has been instrumental in developing the HCUL Big Island Chapter Young Professionals Committee, expanding the number of participants year-over-year.

“Tim knows the challenges credit union members face as he has been in the front line working one-on-one with them to help meet their financial needs,” said HCUL Chairman Norman Okimoto. “His vast credit union industry experience will help the HCUL best serve its member credit unions and ultimately the residents of Hawaii.”
