HONOLULU–The Hawaii Credit Union League has announced the results of its board elections.
The elections took place during the HCUL’s annual meeting at the Hyatt Maui Resort and Spa.
The 2022-2023 HCUL board includes:
- Chair Norman Okimoto of Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Union, Oahu
- Vice Chair Tess Shimabukuro of Gather Federal Credit Union, Kauai
- Secretary Scott Kaulukukui of Hickam Federal Credit Union, Oahu
- Treasurer Alan Arai of Valley Isle Community Federal Credit Union
- Director Nicole Aguinaldo of Big Island Federal Credit Union, Hawaii
- Director Timothy Ashcraft of Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union, Hawaii
- Director Guy Muraoka of Kahului Federal Credit Union, Maui)
According to the league, the 2022 Annual Convention theme was “Emerge, Engage, Empower,” which “set the tone for the post-pandemic future of Hawaii’s credit unions. As credit unions emerge from the restrictions brought about by the pandemic, many developed new ways of engaging members that empowered them to rise above financial difficulties.”
