Hail Of A Nice Thing To Do: CU Contributes To Have Employees’ Cars Repaired

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. – Bellco Credit Union is assisting employees whose automobiles were damaged during a severe hail storm here.

Many of the employees’ cars suffered window damage from the hail, and to help with repairs, Bellco is giving $250 to every employee whose vehicles were damaged, according to CBS4.

“We were all just looking out the window from our office and just kind of feeling helpless watching the front row of cars just get hammered,” CBS4 quoted Belloc CU employee Britany Hass-Ramos, as saying. Hass-Ramos found the windshield on her Nissan had been cracked and there were dents in the hood and roof. The vehicle of her husband’s car (her husband is an employee of Bellco) was also damaged.

“It just made sense to help our employees out,” LeeAnn Downey, SVP and chief administrative officer for Bellco Credit Union, told CBS4. “They do that for our members every day and we wanted to help them for all that they do for us. That’s what Bellco is all about. The credit union motto is ‘People helping people.’ This fits right into that motto.”
