GALWAY, Ireland–A group of CUs here known as the “Chapter 16 Credit Unions” have entered into a sponsorship with the popular Galway Bay FM Road Caster, which broadcasts live from around the country.
The Chapter 16 CU group, which is made up of 10 credit unions, is backing what is now known as the “Credit Union Road Caster,” a van that has been wrapped with the credit unions’ logos and messaging.
“The Irish credit union movement is one of the most successful in the world with a significantly high number of members who avail of the access to affordable credit provided,” said Liam Kelly, who chairs the Chapter 16 group. “Credit unions issued €2 billion in loans last year and remain a trusted and reliable source of credit. There are no hidden costs with a credit union loan and we are always happy to structure repayments in a way that best suits our members.”
