Greater El Paso CU Opens Branch at Community College

EL PASO, Texas–Greater El Paso Credit Union (GECU) has opened its first student-run credit union at El Paso Community College in its Valle Verde Campus Student Services Center.

“Collaborating with El Paso Community College supports our similar goals of providing higher education and financial literacy to students,” said Crystal Long, GECU president and CEO. “These opportunities pave the way to financial freedom and success, which will further elevate our community. We’re excited to grow our relationship with EPCC and look forward to providing financial education and our convenient services to students right on campus.”

The new location is a full-service branch, including an added virtual office available for new account openings, loan applications and processing, and more, the credit union said.

The EPCC branch is also open to the public.

GECU annually provides a $10,000 scholarship donation
