Great Lakes CU Intro’s High-Rate Three-Month CD

BANNOCKBURN, Ill. –As CUToday.info has been reporting, credit unions seeking deposits have been forced by a competitive market to dangle some attractive offers, particularly on certificates. That includes Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU), which has launched a three-month share certificate paying a 4.85% APY.

“Those in our communities have been asking for more high-yield, short-term investment options, and we're excited to deliver just that," said President and CEO Steven Bugg. "We're committed to giving back to our members and communities by offering the best financial products and services, and our new three-month 4.85% APY certificate is a testament to that dedication. “Our goal is making financial empowerment attainable for everyone. That’s why this certificate not only has a great rate, but also a relatively low initial deposit requirement.”

The certificate has a $1,000 minimum.
