Illinois residents can now visit any GLCU branch within Lake County to pay their property tax bill. GLCU has six branches in the county including Antioch, Gurnee, North Chicago, Waukegan, Round Lake Beach, and Zion. Any Lake County resident can utilize this service; GLCU membership is not required.

GLCU said it will be able to accept payments for the first coupon until June 7th, 2021, and again for the second coupon until Sept. 7th, 2021. The tax payment coupons received from the Lake Country Treasurer are required when making payments at GLCU as well as a valid form of identification. Taxpayers will be able to visit Lake County GLCU branches either in person or by utilizing the drive-thru; night drops are not permitted.

Full payments in the form of check or cash can be accepted.

‘One More Benefit’

“GLCU is all about helping the community in every way possible. Offering a convenient way to pay your property taxes at one of our locations is just one more benefit we provide to Lake County residents,” said Michelle Shelton, chief experience officer at GLCU. “We are excited to partner with the Lake County Treasurer and are grateful for the opportunity to serve the community.”
