Granite CU in Partnership to Open First In-Store, Fully Spanish-Speaking Branch

MILLCREEK, Utah–Granite Credit Union is reporting it has partnered with Rancho Markets to bring the first in-store fully Spanish-speaking branch to Rancho Market stores.

A ribbon cutting has been scheduled for May 30.

“We have worked closely with the owners of Rancho Market to create a financial resource for the Spanish-speaking community who shop at their stores,” Granite CU’s CEO, Mark Young, told Utah Business. “We are excited about our new Rose Park location that will offer ITIN lending and Simple Spend Accounts to support the community.”

Added Eli Madrigal, founder and CEO of Rancho Markets, in a statement to the publication, “It’s nice to work with a credit union that is willing to help our Hispanic community by making financial services more affordable and convenient for their families.”

In 2023, the $818.6-million Granite Credit Union noted it received the Juntos Avanzamos designation from Inclusiv for its commitment to and collaboration with the Hispanic community and local businesses.

Granite Credit Union’s field of membership also expanded in 2023, which allows it to expand into other Rancho Market locations,  including a second location planned for Weber County.
