WASHINGTON–The Government Printing Office Federal Credit Union (GPOFCU) has named a new president/CEO.
The $34-million CU has selected Stephanie Covington to lead the organization. Covington replaces Timothy Anderson, who is moving into an executive management position at Senate FCU in January 2019.
Covington previously held management positions at several Maryland banks, and for 18 years at Pentagon Federal Credit Union in Alexandria, Va.
“We are enthusiastic to have Ms. Covington in the leadership role at GPOFCU,” said Board Chair Robert Freeman. “Her years of experience in the financial services industry and focus on strategic growth will help our credit union take advantage of technology opportunities and enhanced member services.”
Added Covington, “I was born and raised in Washington, D.C., which gives me a sense of pride and a responsibility to give back to a community that’s invested in me. I look forward to working with the board and staff in serving our members and strengthening our community partner relationships.”
GPO FCU has approximately 4,300 members.
