OVERLAND PARK, Kan.—Mazuma Credit Union has signed a five-year sponsorship deal with Major League Soccer’s Sporting Kansas City.
The value of the deal has not been released. The credit union is helping to underwrite the cost of a new “Mazuma Mazzanine” being built at Sporting KC’s Sporting Park, a hexagonal area designed to look like a soccer ball and where fans can sit down to have a drink or a snack, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.
Mazuma already has in place an affinity card tied to the soccer team that offers a rewards program, with perks ranging from gift certificates to the team store to an all-expenses paid road trip with the team.
