HUNTSVILLE, Ala.– The nationwide Google outage Thursday impacted at least one credit union.
As numerous media outlets reported, several major online platforms, including Spotify, Discord, and Google, experienced outages Thursday afternoon, according to Downdetector, which monitors web service disruptions.
The disruptions came as service provider Cloudflare and Google Cloud experienced service disruptions, CNN said. A Cloudflare representative told CNN that a Google Cloud outage was behind the issue and that its core services were not impacted.
Reports also stated the matter began showing signs of recovery late Thursday.
The $8.1-billion Redstone FCU reported the outage impacted member service.
“Redstone officials said members may be unable to access online and mobile banking due to the outage,” WAFF reported.
WAFF said Redstone reported Thursday it was working to resolve the issue.
