BELFAST, Ireland–More than 100 women from around the world are expected to convene for the Global Women’s annual Forum event, which will be held as part of the 2016 World Credit Union Conference here.
The Forum is open to all GWLN members, and will include an all-day workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. that will focus on advancing professional development skills, growing business relationships and expanding leadership knowledge.
The GWLN said that thanks to sponsorship from Ser Technology, this year’s event is just $150 and will further offer a unique opportunity to connect with women from different cultures, communities and experiences. This year’s Forum event will also feature keynote speaker Betsy Myers, author of “Take the Lead: Motivate, Inspire, and Bring Out the Best in Yourself and Everyone Around You.” Myers served as COO of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and as President Clinton’s White House Senior Adviser for Women’s Issues.
From Monday through Wednesday at the WOCCU meeting, a lounge sponsored by TMG will offer an opportunity to:
- Discuss Take The Lead and develop strategies for implementing the book’s recommendations
- Check in with Network members on their 2015 action plan
- Learn how women are making an impact worldwide
- Simply escape the conference chaos
