GTE Financial Rolling Out TV, Radio Ads About Employees’ Philanthropy

TAMPA, Fla.–GTE Financial Credit Union is rolling out a new advertising campaign that focuses on what it calls the “tremendous philanthropic outreach” conducted each year by its employees and members. The campaign will include both television and radio advertising.

In 2018, GTE Financial reported it donated over $610,000 and volunteered over 4,400 hours to local charities.

“We’re excited to share our philanthropic efforts through the mass reach of television and radio to truly show our mission of people helping people,” said Mandy Zurbrick, chief marketing and strategy officer at GTE Financial. “We’re showcasing our employees and charities we supported in 2018, as well as the activities we held that helped raise funds for those organizations.”

The credit union said it helped more than a dozen nonprofit organizations, including Southeastern Guide Dogs, Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, Tighten the Drag Foundation, YMCA, Life Link, Trinity Café, Boys & Girls Club, Eckerd Connects, A Brighter Community, American Heart Association, Wheels of Success and Make Hope Real Project.

“We want to make sure that people know that at GTE when you are a member, you are a philanthropist,” added Zubrick.
