TAMPA, Fla.–GTE Financial Credit Union said it is joining with the Florida Mission of Mercy (FLA-MOM), the state's largest charitable dental care provider, on a free, two-day dental clinic.
The clinic will be held at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Fla., beginning today, starting at 7 a.m.

shared commitment to serve the underserved in our community," Manny Aguilar, SVP-chief commercial and advisory services officer at GTE Financial, said in a statement. "FLA-MOM's incredible impact since 2014, with $14.67 million in donated dental services,
13,816 patients served, and 90,334 procedures performed, underscores the vital need for such initiatives. We are honored to be a part of this life-changing effort."
How Clinic Will Work
GTE Financial said underserved and uninsured patients are welcome and seen on a first-come, first-served basis. The goal is to treat 2,000 patients who would otherwise go without care. FLA-MOM clinics offer a comprehensive array of dental services, including oral health education, x-rays, blood pressure and oral cancer screenings, extractions, fillings, limited root canals, and cleanings, the $2.9-billion credit union said.
