WASHINGTON–CUNA has announced a new chairman and other members of its board executive committee.
At its annual meeting held in conjunction with GAC, CUNA said Lisa Ginter, president/CEO of CommunityAmerica Credit Union in Lenexa, Kan. was elected as the as chair. In remarks delivered via video to GAC, Ginter said, “It’s an honor to chair CUNA’s board at a time when the credit union movement is looking to build on great momentum, and I look forward to continued work with CUNA, leagues, and credit unions to make good on our commitment to improve financial well-being. Our combination of steadfast focus on our members and determination to advance the communities we serve means credit unions have plenty to work for in the next year and beyond.”
Additional board officers include:
- Vice chair: Caroline Willard, president/CEO of Cornerstone League
- Treasurer: Patrick Pierce, president/CEO of City & County CU
- Secretary: Brian Best, president/CEO of GTE Financial CU
- Executive Committee Member: Jim Morrell, president/CEO of Peninsula CU
The newly elected members will serve through the 2024 Annual General Meeting.
CUNA noted it has had 51 chairs; Ginter is the 52nd and the 6th female chair.
