KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—It’s “Free Gas Friday” across this state thanks to 26 credit unions that are giving away $15,000 worth of gas today.
In Knoxville, $2,500 in free fuel will be pumped, said Katy Jett, VP of marketing at Enrichment FCU here. Jett told WATE.com that the location of the Knoxville gas giveaway will be broadcast on a local radio station that morning and credit union employees will begin pumping free gas at noon.
“Free Gas Friday is a way we can give a little bit back to the communities we serve,” Jett told WATE.com. “There are 26 credit unions in the East Tennessee area and they are all working together to raise awareness of how great a credit union’s services are and that their main priority is helping our members reach their financial goals.”
