CHADDS FORD, Penn.–Franklin Mint FCU here has cut the ribbon on a new headquarters building.
It is moving its 180 employees to the new location from its previous facility in Broomall, Penn. FMFCU said it expects to have 240 employees in the headquarters in about five years, and has signed a 15-year lease with The Henderson Group, the developer of the building and corporate park where it’s located.
“The new building features a two-story glass-enclosed café with a grand staircase that will produce tremendous workflow, communication, and camaraderie among employees,” said President/CEO John D. Unangst at the ribbon cutting.
The credit union is leasing 51,000 square feet of the newly constructed 71,000-square-foot building; The Henderson Group is looking for a tenant for the remaining space.
The $1-billion Franklin Mint has more than 82,000 members and 350 employees and 32 branches.
