Four Former Bank Branches Now Officially Part of Nusenda Credit Union

EL PASO, Texas–Four former branches of Western Heritage Bank are now officially part of New Mexico-based Nusenda Credit Union.

Two of the branches are in El Paso, Texas, while the other two are in New Mexico.

Terms of the acquisition have not been released.

For now, the former customers of the bank are using their current Western Heritage accounts, as a conversion to Nusenda’s systems will not occur until later this year, according to the El Paso Times.

Western Heritage customers want quicker access to Nusenda’s products and services, they can sign up for new Nusenda accounts, a spokesperson told the publication.

‘Pop-Up Branches’

Three of Western Heritage’s four El Paso branches now have “pop-up” Nusenda branches, at which Nusenda members can access credit union services, the report added.

Temporary signage announcing “Western Heritage – Powered by Nusenda Credit Union” has been put in place.

About 50 Western Heritage employees now work for Nusenda. Albuquerque-based Nusenda has $4.34-billion in assets and approximately 265,000 members. El Paso is approximately 265 miles south of Albuquerque.
