MADISON, Wis.–To help kick-off National Financial Literacy Month, the National Credit Union Foundation will host a Twitter chats for credit unions today at 4 p.m. (ET). The Foundation is inviting credit unions to discuss their financial education activities during the chat.
“In April and all year long, credit unions excel at strengthening their member’s financial well-being through their various financial education efforts,” said Christopher Morris, Foundation Director of Communications. “Financial education is central to leveraging the credit union difference and close to our work at the Foundation. As you can imagine then, we are very excited to lead this discussion on how credit unions improve people’s financial futures providing financial education in communities across the country.”
During the Twitter chat on April 5, the Foundation said credit unions and their staff are encouraged to share best practices and examples of their financial education efforts, including efforts to members of all ages, identifying needs, tracking and measuring, partnerships and more. Coastal Federal Credit Union in Raleigh, N.C. (@Coastal24) will be featured in the Twitter chat as a special guest.
