Former WCFCU Manager Faces 30 Years In Prison

Donna Jennings

WINCHESTER, Va.—Donna Jennings, the former manager at the now defunct Winchester Community FCU, faces the possibility of serving up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty last week to embezzlement.

In addition to prison time, Jennings may have to pay one million dollars in fines.

From 2001 to 2014, Jennings served as a manager of the $12-million Winchester Community FCU. Over that thirteen-year period she admittedly embezzled over one million dollars.

Jennings not only created false member loans, but she frequently took money from teller drawers and even fraudulently conducted loan advances, with the advances ranging from $5,000 to $70,000. Her reasoning for taking the money? To help cover her shopping addiction, court documents indicate.

As a result of Jennings’ theft, the tiny CU failed.
