Nussle on MSNBC
Also appearing in the media this week was CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle, who was interviewed on MSNBC during a segment on the credit union response to the coronavirus pandemic. That interview can be found here.
Separately, Nussle said in remarks during a conference call with the trade show media, “This is going to be a critical week for America, and its financial first-responders. It culminates in a week like this. If you’re planning to be America’s financial partners you’ve got to get in the trenches during a week like this. Credit unions are already acting and it’s amazing the stories we are hearing. They are in each community and in homes working out options to help people get through this challenge. Credit union after credit union is doing this.
“All of CUNA and the league efforts in these last days and weeks trying to get regulatory relief, changes in laws from Congress to expand our abilities to serve members,” Nussle continued. “All our focus in compliance is to get credit unions ready for a week like this.”
