PADUCAH, Ky.–Debra Pyfrom, the former manager of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 816 FCU, has been sentenced to 78 months in prison and to pay restitution of $600,520.16 following a September 2015 guilty plea to having embezzled from the credit union.
Pyfrom has admitted to stealing more than $600,000 for her personal benefit and for the benefit of her daughter, her boyfriend, friends, and family. The fraud was uncovered in 2014.
The credit union has since been liquidated by NCUA.
