For First Time In Its Life, Credit Union Gets A Home Of Its Own

CLARKSBURG, W.V.–City of Clarksburg FCU here is getting a building of its own after 57 years of existence.

The $10.2-million credit union has built its own building for approximately $500,000, allowing it to leave the space it had been renting.

Credit union representatives told the Exponent Telegram that the new facility will allow members to visit without having to pay to park, and will also include a drive up and, for the first time, a conference room the board can use. Throughout the credit union’s history the board has always had to meet off-site.

The credit union has two full-time employees, including manager Carole Arnett. It has approximately 1,000 members.
