WASHINGTON—NAFCU announced that is has cancelled its Congressional Caucus here, slated to begin today and run through Friday.
The trade association stated that the meeting was cancelled due to Hurricane Florence and Washington’s current state of emergency due to the expected weather.
Hurricane Florence is expected to be a near-Category 5 storm by the time it hits the mainland. More than one-million people already have been given mandatory evacuation orders across an area that stretches from the Carolinas north into Virginia.
