MIDLAND, Mich.–Several credit unions here have closed branches due to heavy rains, flooding and two dams that have burst.
Dow Chemical Employees Credit Union said it closed its branch. Members are being directed to use the credit union’s ATMs, electronic channels or phone.
The credit union cautioned some ATMs may be unavailable due to flooding and power outages, and that wait times in its call center may also be affected due to “amount of DCECU staff impacted by this emergency,” it said.
Similarly, Frankenmuth Credit Union said its branch is also closed. Like DCECU, it also is directing members to use electronic channels.
