EL PASO, Texas–FirstLight FCU has launched a “BETTER IS ABOUT TO GET BETTER Rewards Loyalty Program,” which it is describing as a proprietary service solution to enhance the member’s engagement and experience.
According to FirstLight, new and existing members will earn points by using their debit or credit card, making timely loan payments, and having their mortgage with the credit union. Members in the program can redeem earned points for cash back, loan rate discounts, and share certificate bumps, and members can also qualify for fee reversals on non-FirstLight ATM fees, money orders, non-sufficient funds (NSF), and skip-a-pay convenience fees.
“We are extremely thankful to our loyal members and participating team members for inspiring us to create a program that is relevant and innovative” said Jim Huff, chief retail officer. “Member feedback was a driving force to build an independent, value-added service platform that is simple and fun to track.”

Other New Additions
In addition to the new rewards program, FirstLight FCU reported it has also recently launched a new Live Video Banking Service that allows members to speak virtually to a representative to answer general banking inquiries, apply for a loan, request a wire transfer, and even apply for membership from their comfort of their home using innovative web technology.
It has also launched a “tap to pay” debit cards as well as “FLIGHT,” an education tool for kids, teens, and young adults.
