HOLLYWOOD, Calif.–First Entertainment Credit Union has named a new CEO to succeed the retiring Chuck Bruen.
Named to lead the $1.2-billion First Entertainment is Frank Wasson, who is currently COO with the $459-million CBC Credit Union. First Entertainment said Wasson has “built a reputation for delivering large-scale business transformation and creating and leading cohesive and collaborative teams.
Wasson’s official first day will be June 13.
Bruen is retiring after having first joined First Entertainment in 1987 when it had just $28 million in assets. During his career Bruen was recognized for being an early adopter of technologies, including being among the first CEO with a blog. He has served as chairman of the California league and was presented with the Leo H. Shapiro Lifetime Achievement Award by the California League in 2015.
