ALTADENA, Calif.–First City Credit Union said it will be celebrating its 85th Anniversary in September with a number of “festive events” in during the month, culminating on the day it was chartered, Sept. 28.
FCCU said open houses are scheduled in each of its seven branches in downtown Los Angeles, the LAC + USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, Lakewood, West Covina, Claremont, Antelope Valley, and Pasadena. The events will take place every Friday in September, ending with a final open house on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022. Each branch will have refreshments, raffles, gifts for credit union members, and special product offers for members, the credit union said.

“Through the years, we’ve helped tens of thousands of members by creating value and fulfilling their financial goals,” said First City Credit Union CEO Nav Khanna. “Our success is a reflection of our commitment to the credit union philosophy of people helping people and providing convenient and personalized experiences for our membership. First City Credit Union was officially founded on Sept. 28, 1937 as Los Angeles County Employees Number 11 FCU, with 65 members and a grand total of $149 in deposits. Today, it has more than 55,000 members and $630 million in assets.
